Triad's 160 acre operated lease in the center of the giant 31,400
acre North Cowden Field in Ector County, Texas is a property
with a history dating to the 1930's. This 100% owned waterflood
property is a window in the over 21,000 acre North Cowden Unit.
Current production is around 70 BOPD from 20 operated wells
(11 active producers and 7 injectors) producing in the Grayburg Dolomite.
The lease has produced in excess of 7.1 million barrels of oil
or about 22% of the estimated original oil in place while the North Cowden Unit has produced 256.7 million
barrels since unitization and the North Cowden Field produced
107 million barrels prior to unitization. The total original oil
in place for the expansive North Cowden Unit is estimated to be
1.7 billion barrels.
